'Middlewood Lodge' is the new name given to the former Administration building. It contains 14 apartments and a further 24 homes at the back of the building. The centrepiece is the landmark Clock Tower. Many of the apartments have either balconies or terraces and a secure gated entrance. The following images were taken by Ian Taylor of Urban-i Developer. The conversion work by this company consisted in the entire removal of most of the fabric of the building, leaving only the outer shell. From the outside this gives an impression that a professional conversion has taken place. Unfortunately the interior of the original building has gone for ever. The total expenditure to convert the building was £ 6.75 million.

The conversion work was completed in summer 2008. I took the following pictures a few days before the official opening day when potential customers came in to view the new building.
During summer 2008 the current prices for the homes within 'Middlewood Lodge' ranged from £ 135,000 to £ 225,000. The developer claimed that in November 2007 90% of the accommodation was already sold.
